It’s customary for most businesses to have a pre-Christmas meeting to discuss plans and initiatives for the upcoming season. These meetings with your team are of critical importance and if you don’t have one schedule, my suggestion is to have one ASAP. Aside from the meeting, what else are you doing to prepare for ‘The Big Show’?
For retailers, Christmas is where you can make anywhere from 40 to 60 percent of your yearly sales. Obviously, what you sell will determine what percentage but for most, this is the busiest time of the year. What are you doing to capitalize on all the extra foot traffic in your location? Is your staff aware of how important sales are during this season? Do you have the proper motivational and accountability tools in place to have a successful Christmas?
